"New Kicks"
by Le Tigre
Peace Now, Peace Now, Peace Now, Peace Now!We are gathered here, we come from so many different places. From different identities, different cultures.Different backgrounds different religions. And yet we can gather, under the guides of peace....now...Peace now!"We say no to war!"Peace up, war down!"We say no to war!"Peace up, war down!"We say no to war!"Peace up, war down!"We made it. We're here. We're here right now and we're not leaving."Now I hear you, I hear you people. Now I hear you, I hear you people. Now I hear you, I hear you people. Now I hear you, I hear you people. Now I hear you, I hear you...."Now, we have reports that more and more people are just taking on ramps onto the bridge and taking it over.. it's just...just...""I mean, i'm just like..ahh!"This is what democracy looks like! This is what democracy sounds like! This is what democracy looks like! This is what democracy sounds like!"Reports from protests from among Georgia... Amsterdam... and Fort Lebanon... East Seymour... Florence, Italy...London...Milano, Italy...Paris, France...Dozens of cities in Spain... Reports in Athens, Georgia... Austin, Texas... Westford, Virginia... Charleston, South Carolina... Colorado Springs... andDefiance, Ohio... Denver, Colorado as well as Durango... Geneva, New York as well as Houston, Texas... Cianis, Massachussetts...In Hawaii as well...Lawrence, Kansas... Los Angeles, California... AND I AM ONLY NAMING A FEW!"Peace...now! Peace...now!And as Eleanor Roosevelt said..."It isn't enough to talk about peace, one must believe in it. It isn't enough to believe in it, one must work at it"And we here today... are working at it!"This is possible, and even necessary. So grab the sword, pick up the hammer and the saw. And start building a better world!"No blood for oil!We will not be violent! No blood for oil!We will not be violent! No blood for oil!"We will not go to war, for a selected president, who wasn't even elected!"We must stand here, token, abound and unchained. We need healthcare! We need education! We need freedom in this nation! Freedom in this nation! Freedom in this nation! Freedom in this nation!"Thousands of people have taken over 3rd Avenue and are marching North. The crowd stretches at least 15 blocks from 44th street to 59th Street. The police have just simply... given up."This is what democracy looks like! This is what democracy sounds like! This is what democracy looks like! This is what democracy sounds like!"We will not sell out!We will not back down!We will not compromise! We will go forward,Until peace is on the world's agenda!"I started a theory that there were no more heroes in the World. But Today, I see all the World's heroes standing before me."We say no to war!"No war!"We say no to war!"No war!"We say no to war!"No war!

Stoopid people...(SiR's mad rant of maddness)

Honestly? is this where our country is headed? a world of stupid people? i can't take it. it's not even just stupididty anymore. now it's just ignorance and crap. a couple a days ago in language aerts we had to dicuss the tone, theme, dictaion of a poem. we had to work with the group at our table. one person wrote a really good peopm. it was very well done and it was a limerick. but in the poem, someone got hurt. another girl at our table took the paper that the other girl wrote, stuck it in her desk, took out a poem that she wrote, and said we she voted on it , she did, you did , and i did. which of course i rpotested to since i didn't. her poem was really simple (and not that simple is bad, but wouldn't have given us enough info for the project) and happy. something to do with dancing and eating. i do have to give it to her tho. leadership skills. taking things in your own hands. but no matter how much me and the other group members protested, she wouldn't listen, which makes for bad leadership skills. but good skills for getting what you want. i asked her why she didn't like the other poem, and she said that it was because poems are supposed to be happy and joyful all the time. that ticked me off. my mother is a wonderful poet, and her poems are filled with heartbreak and emotion. so this little annoying child is saying my mother is a bad poet in a a way, not that i told her, i didn't hve time. is this what our future leaders are going to be like? closed minded little idiots, simple minded, cheating liars? what is it that has degenerated in the mind deteriorating the morals. lying went from being wrong to being ok in life and death situations, to lying being ok and long as it's beneficial to oneself. which is still immoral. i don't get it. what is the point of school anymore. as we grow academicly, some of the children begin to forget the lessons they learned as a toddler. it's screwed up. i don't get it. wait a minute, today's leaders are liers and annoying. *cough* *cough* *dick cheney* *cough* *cough*. some kids really need to get smacked in the face by their parents sometimes. my cousin nabeed wore a shirt today that said "you laugh at me becuase i'm different, i laugh at you becuase you're all the same". i have the same sentiments towards the kids at my school. they are all the same. the few ones who are different are my friends, whom of which i almost never get to talk to. i have one friend i've sat next to at luch since the 4th grade. *sigh*. she still doesn'y know me as a person. oh how much fun it is to twist the minds of people in the way of which they think of me. i can't stand these kids. they are just so... ignorant, and some stoopid, and some simple minded, and some immature, and some just too "preppy" . i use the term preppy to refer to the "cool" kids at school. the ones who dare make fun of me. they will see. when i start the world program that helps end poverty and disease around the world, they'll all be jealous of me and say, "hey, maybe she wasn't such a freak after all. maybe she was a really nice person who wanted to help people. and look at her. she's out there around the world helping people having an adventure while i'm here in the middle of suburbia with my average life and average home and my average job". it's not my fault they don't think as much as i do. i don't see how people don't find it fun to discuss end of world scenarios and the principles of reality. to discuss poliyical movements. i know that some kids in my school might become big contributors to world peace and debate. wow. i learned something during the months of blogging. i'm always protesting stuff. i'm always arguing. i'm always doning things that i never used to do. i'm building courage to stand up for myself. i don't think i could have done that surrounded by all the kids who were in my class last year. i've grown independant and i've grown smarter. i think i should join the debate team next year. wHooT!! see, some things you can only do on your own. anyway, back to my point. future leaders, i am seeing something. mindless followers of a political leader, and that leader is following others who are supposed to be working for him, and leaders who are followers. yes. the circle. the circle that is causing the country to fall apart. it's just that all the good leaders aren't the people that are usually accepted by others. and because 50% of american voters are just plain stupid, they vote for the person who failed at the the job, and just becuase they agree with him on a couple moral things, they vote for him. while there was another candidate out there, who deserved a fair chance at running the government, lost. come on! must people be so prejudice?!?! also, i can't beleive that so many people are just so simple minded. they see life as black and white. and no grey. for example, one of my neighbors said that going into hottopic and buying some thing was a sin because hot topic is satanic. which is untrue. that place is a normal store like any other. the only difference is that it centers around rock music. just normal store. as there motto says "it's all about the music" . it's true that some hard rock singers such as marylan manson are satanists doesn't mean that the store that sells the cd would. i mean,' limited too' is evil. worst store ever. limited too sucks. first of all, the fashion sucks. second of all, what kind of parent wants there 10 year olds to dress in lo-rise jeans and a belly shirt. that is just begging for trouble right there. some might say"it's a fashion statment". also, it's starting to get harder and harder to find clothes that fit me and don't over expose parts of my body. you know what? why do they call it the juniors section? they might as well call it slutwear for teens. the name fits well enough. thank goodness for long t-shirts. also, i noticed that in the guys section, the cloth for the shirts are a little thicker, a lot looser, a lot more comfortable, and cost a whole bunch less. so instead of just boycotting the girls section of the mall, and since i need clothes to wear, i decided to buy a couple of shirts from the guys section. they fit. so i buy them. *^_^*. whOoT! go me. i've also found that my old jeans don't fit me anymore. old as in a few months. it's rather they shrink to fast in the wash, or i'm gaining weight. either way, i gotta buy some new jeans. buy the way, the price of jeans are insane!!!!! thank goodness for the act that oldnavy sold jeans for around 13 bucks, as opposed to limited too, whom of which sells it for 30. the dye and clothing quality at limited to is really bad too. and hot topic is a great place to shop. i don't care what anyone says. Life only sucks if you think of it that way. and if you can't find joy in your life., create a purpose for yourself. help people. make them happy. become a volunteer. just life day to day, second to second. if you've had a bad day, fergit about it. it just a day. things happen. accidents. you just gotta press on with life. well, it's 1:40 somthing in the morning right now. so i'm gonna go. stay tuned for future rants! *^_^*
