The End of Television?

So I'm watching a rerun of Stephen Colbert, and he's talking about how Bill Gates is actually paying people to put in positive messages.

My personal message to TV stations: STOP PUTTING CRAP ON TV FOR THE SAKE OF RATINGS. I mean, yeah, occasionally we get something good. but as soon as we get the good stuff you take it away. These reality shows? They're getting really repetitive and dumber by the day. Where did all the good cartoons and shows go? Aeon Flux? Thundercats? Ren and Stimpy? Space Ghost coast to coast? Bill Nye? Maybe if you stopped putting $hiznit on our screens like those dumb reality shows and all those shows starring charachters with such cookie cutter personalities and recycled plots, we'd watch more often.
